How to join a community in Apoing
To make bookings in a community's calendars you first need to be a member. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to join.
Step 1: Create your Apoing account
If you don't have an Apoing account yet, go to www.apoing.com and click Sign Up. All you need is a name and an email address.
You will receive two emails: the first to validate your account and the second with your temporary password. You can change it at any time from your profile.
If you already have an account, just log in and go straight to step 2.
Step 2: Find your community
There are two ways to reach your community:
Option A — The administrator gave you a direct link
If the person managing your community shared a link (something like apoing.com/comunity/your-community-name), open it in your browser. You will land directly on the community's public page with all the information and the button to join.
Option B — Search for the community yourself
From your Apoing account, click Find a community, type the name of your community and select it from the results.
Step 3: Request access
Once on the community page, click the Join or Request access button. What happens next depends on how the community administrator has configured access:
Open community — Immediate access
That's it! You are joined automatically and can start making bookings straight away.
If the community asks for an identification code, enter the value that applies to you when the form appears. Depending on the community, this code can be:
- Membership number
- ID / passport number
- Block, floor and door number
- Street, number, floor and letter
If you are not sure what your code is, ask the community administrator.
Community with approval required — Wait for confirmation
Your request is sent and put on hold. The administrator will receive a notification and, once they approve you, you will get a confirmation email. Until then you will not be able to make bookings in that community.
Invitation-only community — Wait for the email
In this case there is no join button. Only users who receive an invitation from the administrator can become members. Contact them and ask to be invited by email. Once you receive the invitation, follow the link in the email to accept it and you will be added as a member.
Can't find your community? It's possible that the community hasn't been registered on Apoing yet, or that the name you are searching for is different from the one on the platform. Contact your community administrator to confirm the exact name or ask them to send you the direct link to the community page.
