Link accounts to your household — Share bookings with family

Want your partner or children to book using your same quota, see each other's bookings and share credits — without asking the administrator to register them? With Apoing's Link accounts feature you can link another already-registered account to one, several or all of your communities by sharing your booking code.

When two accounts share the same booking code in a community they form a household: they share booking limits (daily, weekly maximums, etc.), can see each other's bookings and share the credit balance. Linking always requires the invited person to accept, and the linked account joins as a regular user (administrator permissions are never copied).

Requirements

  • The community must have "Allow linked accounts" enabled (the administrator turns it on).
  • The account you want to link must already be registered in Apoing (identified by its email).
  • That account must not already be a member of the community.
  • The club's maximum linked accounts per household must not be exceeded.

How to link an account step by step

1. Open "Link accounts"

In the app, go to Profile → Link accounts. On the web, open the user menu and go to Link accounts (you also have the link in the footer and in this Help section).

2. Enter the account email

Type the email of the person you want to link and tap Search. Apoing checks that the account exists and shows you in which of your communities it can be linked.

3. Choose the communities

Select one, several or all available communities and tap Send invitation. Only communities where the club allows linked accounts, the person is not already a member and the limit has not been reached will appear.

4. The invited person accepts

The invited account receives an in-app alert (and a push notification if the app is installed). From Profile → Link accounts → Linking invitations they can Accept or Reject. On accepting, they join the community sharing your booking code.

Manage your linked accounts

On the same screen you'll see "My linked accounts" with the accounts you've linked and in which communities. You can remove an account at any time: doing so takes them out of those communities. Only the person who created the link can remove it; a linked account can see who it shares its code with, but cannot remove anyone.

Who shares your code

The "Who shares your booking code" section shows, per community, all the accounts that share your booking code (including households that already existed). This way you always know who makes up your household in each community.

What happens if you delete your account

If you delete your account, the accounts you have linked are not deleted: they remain members of their communities independently. Deleting your account never removes anyone from any community.

Frequently asked questions

  • Does the invited person need to accept? Yes. Linking is only completed when they accept the invitation from their account.
  • Is my administrator role copied? No. The linked account always joins as a regular user.
  • How many accounts can I link? Up to the per-household maximum each club configures (4 by default). The limit is per booking code, so it cannot be exceeded by chaining links.
  • Do they share credits? Yes. Since the credit balance is tied to the booking code, accounts in the same household share the same balance in that community.
  • Can I link someone who doesn't have an account? No. They must register in Apoing first; then you can link them by their email.
